If you're considering a stay in Lecco, this newly built hostel might just be the smart choice you're looking for. Equidistant from the train station and the stunning Lake Como, it's a practical home base for exploring the area-Varenna-Esino is just a short train ride away. The spacious six-bed dorm I stayed in was nicely designed, with large lockers and sturdy bunk beds, ensuring restful nights. Amenities are modern, featuring soundproofed rooms and clean bathrooms that come with nice toiletries-a delightful touch for budget travelers. The helpful staff made a big difference, offering excellent tips for navigating Lecco's cultural gems. And the included breakfast? A real perk to kick-start your day. While the on-site restaurant is still in the works, the bar offers a complimentary welcome drink, which is a lovely way to unwind. For the price, it offers solid value without compromising comfort, making it a savvy option for your Italian adventure.
